Residency Track
The FC School of Ministry Residency track provides the opportunity to explore, experience and engage through an intensive residency at Foothills Church. As part of the experience, you are encouraged to explore your giftedness through evaluations, coaching and take part in intentional discipleship strategies across various ministry environments. You will also engage with leadership at Foothills Church. The Residency Track is designed as the most intensive and immersive experience in the FC School of Ministry. You must be at least 22 years old to be considered for the residency track, and you will be asked to give 20 hours a week to hands on ministry. Through the residency track, you will be provided a yearly compensation of $12,000, and Foothills Church will pay for half of your Master’s Degree through an accredited Southern Baptist Seminary. This is a One year residency with a possible second year renewal.
Vision
As participants explore, experience, and engage the Residency process they will be immersed in a classroom setting and in ministry role at FC. We want to provide a solid theological foundation, leadership development, as well as disciple-making strategies. Residents will also be immersed in the disciple strategy of FC called The Journey.
Process
As residents discover their giftedness, are trained in leadership, theology, and strategy, we believe he or she will be fully equipped to lead in the church. Throughout this program there will be on-going evaluations of each resident, including his/her personal progress and the health of his/her family.
Goal
It is our intent to prepare for the ministry of developing mature disciples of Christ in relational environments. Our hope and prayer for you is that you would be equipped to lead the church in our call to fulfill the Great Commission in Matthew 28.
