Residency Track

The FC School of Ministry Residency track provides the opportunity to explore, experience and engage through an intensive residency at Foothills Church. As part of the experience, you are encouraged to explore your giftedness through evaluations, coaching and take part in intentional discipleship strategies across various ministry environments. You will also engage with leadership at Foothills Church. The Residency Track is designed as the most intensive and immersive experience in the FC School of Ministry. You must be at least 22 years old to be considered for the residency track, and you will be asked to give 20 hours a week to hands on ministry. Through the residency track, you will be provided a yearly compensation of $12,000, and Foothills Church will pay for half of your Master’s Degree through an accredited Southern Baptist Seminary. This is a One year residency with a possible second year renewal.


Areas of Focus

Worship

Discover your gifts and develop your ability to lead worship through music, production, creative projects, or communications. Participants will have a focus in one of those areas. Participants will develop his or her gifts and assist in all aspects of the programming and planning of our worship experiences at Foothills, as well as various projects for Foothills Church and Foothills Collective. He or she will participate in creative meetings, debrief services, and collaborate with our worship team in pointing people to the hope of Jesus in many different ways.

Pastoral Leadership

Discover your gifts and learn how to write sermons, lead a staff, and grow a church.

Outreach Ministry

Discover your gifts and participate in planning, organizing, and executing externally focused ministries. Help prepare teams for mission trips and go overseas with one of our teams.

Guest Services

Discover your gifts and help create an incredible experience for guests that attend FC. Learn how to connect with seekers and attenders and help them take his or her next step to connect at FC. Participants will also provide a number of administrative tasks that enable proper follow up.

Next Gen Ministry

FC Kids: Participates will help create the best environments for kids to meet Jesus and grow in faith. He or she will assist in volunteer development, guest services, project management, and general administration. Participants will also use their unique giftedness to minister in the large group environments on Sunday.

FC Students (6th-12th grade): Participants will interact with volunteers, organize student ministry events, participate in creative meetings, learn organizational skills, assist with a variety of planning tasks, and truly be a part of a fast-paced team working within the student ministry.
