Our Mission

Make disciples.

Jesus told us what to do, and it has never changed. He told us to "make disciples of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19). His mission, or what many refer to as the "great commission," is true for every church, whether they accomplish it or not.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:19–20

Our Vision

Foothills Church exists to develop mature disciples of Christ in relational environments.

What is a mature disciple? At Foothills Church we define this:

• One who is committed to following Christ (Luke 9:23; John 8:31).
• One who is committed to being changed by Christ—is becoming like Christ in attitude and action (John 15:8; Romans 8:29; Galatians 5:22; John 13:35).
• One who is committed to the mission of Christ (John 15:8, Mathew 4:19, 2 Corinthians 5:19-20).

What is a relational environment? At Foothills Church we define relational environments as:

• A small group of 3 to 18 people.
• A meeting with the purpose and intentionality to grow as a disciple.
• A group led by a more mature disciple.
• A place where safe relationships are built.
• A place where accountability, pastoring, encouragement, and teaching exist.
• A regular reoccurring meeting.

Jesus isn’t just part of our lives—He is life. We believe the Gospel changes everything, and our mission is to share the hope of Christ with those around us so they can experience the fullness of life in Him.

It’s about authentic Worship.
Worship isn’t just something we do on Sundays—it’s how we live. Because of who Jesus is, He deserves our full devotion, excellence, and passion in every aspect of our lives.

IT’S NOT ABOUT ME
It’s about Serving.
Following Jesus means putting others before ourselves. We are called to serve with humility and love, just as Jesus did, using our time, talents, and resources to make a difference in the lives of others.

GROWTH HAPPENS IN RELATIONSHIPS
It’s about Relational Environments.
Faith isn’t meant to be lived alone. We grow closer to Christ and stronger in faith when we do life together—encouraging, challenging, and walking alongside one another.

YOU ARE SENT
It’s about pursuing the Mission.
Jesus calls us to move forward in faith—to reach the lost, make disciples, and advance the Gospel. We refuse to be complacent because there’s always another step to take and more lives to reach.

GENEROSITY IS A LIFESTYLE
It’s about investing in the Vision.
We give because God first gave to us. Whether through time, resources, or finances, we live with open hands—investing in what matters most and trusting that God will use our generosity to build His kingdom.

THE NEXT GENERATION MATTERS
It’s about equipping the Family.
We are passionate about raising up the next generation to know and follow Jesus. Our calling is to equip families, disciple young leaders, and invest in the future of the church.
