In many ways, 2021 was a landmark year for the people of Foothills Church. When I reflect on last year, I am immediately blown away by the faithfulness of God in the work that He has done through the people of Foothills Church. We saw the Lord moving and working in ways we had never seen before.
Together, we were able to launch a brand new location in the Bearden community of Knoxville and open our newly renovated West Building at our Maryville location. We saw over 3,700 people come together to hear the gospel at Easter on the Field and watched as the 1,000th baptism in the life of our church took place. Over the course of the year, we witnessed 93 people give their life to Jesus, and 140 take their first step of obedience as believers and get baptized.
It is truly remarkable to pause and reflect on these moments and the countless stories that have forever changed the lives and families of our community. As a church, we are grateful for how God is blessing the vision to develop mature disciples of Christ in relational environments. In this report, you will see the fruit of that blessing.
As you read through this report, I pray that it will encourage and inspire you as we head into another year of sharing the truth of the gospel with our community. My hope is that 2022 will be a year marked by the faithfulness of the people of FC, and the steadfast love of God, as we Make It Count here in Blount County, in Knoxville, and around the world.
