Contract Counselor

JOB DESCRIPTION:

THE WIN

• For the Contract Counselor, the win is to faithfully support, equip, and care for the clients entrusted to them while serving at The Biblical Counseling Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducting weekly counseling sessions with clients
• Meeting quarterly with Thomas Stanton
• Offering up 1-2 hours monthly to train, equip, teach volunteers.
• Following all FC policy on Counseling.
• Conducting patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Scheduling clients accordingly
• Charging clients according to policy and procedure set forth by the Biblical Counseling Center
• Maintaining accurate and up to date client records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance within regulations.
• Maintaining licensure and all requirements as it relates to licensure.
• Having and maintain client files with documentation for client sessions that adhere to requirements of licensure.
• Other duties as assigned by Thomas Stanton

QUALIFICATIONS

• Loves God & cares about the people of FC and the local community.
• Maintains an overall healthy lifestyle physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
• Highly organized, motivated, and detailed
• Licensed as a counselor or therapist and the ability to maintain license while in contract counselor role.
• Ability to hold self-accountable to represent The Biblical Counseling center in an honorable and fruit bearing manner when alone with clients.
• Ability to supervise Graduate Students or Counselors with a temporary license is preferred, but not required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Master’s degree in a counseling related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in counseling related field

EXPECTATIONS

• Be a self-starter and reliable individual while being able to work on and as a team
• Utilize the appropriate digital platforms and other resources as laid out in the contract counselor’s contract
• Honest in regard to clients seen by the counselor and payment from clients for counseling
• Supporting the direction and growth of the Biblical Counseling Center
