Jesus says in Matthew 28:19-20 that "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. [19] Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Therefore we desire to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to all peoples, especially the unreached and unengaged peoples of the world. There are approximately 7.2 billion people worldwide; by some estimates, over five billion of those people do not know Jesus. Between 2 and 3 billion do not know Jesus because they have never heard of Jesus. As Christians, we must care about this!

The International Mission Board (IMB) is the missionary arm of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Teams serve around the globe to share the gospel, make disciples, develop healthy leadership and multiply churches among the unreached unengaged people groups of the world.
There are pathways for individuals, married couples and families to serve. Pathways are either short-term (up to 2 months), mid-term (1-3 years) or long-term (at least 3 years).
College years are ideal for going on a short-term mission trip with the International Mission Board (IMB). College students can serve with a missionary team on the field for 1-3 weeks, during a school break or for a semester.
The North American Mission Board (NAMB) has summer mission opportunities for college students! Make the most of your summer break and serve on the mission field with church planters and compassion ministries in a GenSend city in North America.
Recent college graduates can serve with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and the International Mission Board (IMB) with the Go2 Initiative for 2 years to start their career strategically while on the mission field in North America or around the world.
Looking for a longer opportunity to serve on the mission field? College graduates under age 30 can serve as an IMB missionary on the field for 2+ years through the Journeyman pathway. There are many options to GO with the IMB- find yours!
