I was in PRISON and you came to me.

In Tennessee alone there are over 20,000 people in the prison system. We truly believe that these prisoners should have an opportunity to hear the gospel and engage with life-giving relational environments. On this page, you can learn about how FC is partnering with prison ministries to develop mature disciples of Christ, even in prison.

FOCUS Ministries

What They Do

Focus Ministries fosters hope by providing a Pathway to New Beginnings for the incarcerated of Knoxville and East Tennessee. They hold strategic classes inside facilities, offer residential housing upon release, workforce training and mentoring for both men and women.

What We Do

FC partners with FOCUS Ministries by offering opportunities to share the love of Jesus to people who are incarcerated and also once they are released from a facility. We can do this by offering care and support while sharing hope, encouragement and biblical truth through various FOCUS programs.

What You Can Do

  • Pray for opportunities around the new FC partnership with FOCUS Ministries.
  • Raise awareness of the need for people and churches to share the hope of Jesus through prison ministries.
  • Commit to learn more about FOCUS Ministry volunteer opportunities and take next steps to become involved.

God Behind Bars

What They Do

FC is actively researching opportunities to partner with God Behind Bars to launch an FC campus within a correctional facility.

What We Do

God Behind Bars partners with churches to launch church campuses inside prisons. Prisoners can view the same church service as their families on the outside so entire families are hearing God’s truth being shared on a weekly basis, perhaps for the first time.

What You Can Do

  • Pray for decisions surrounding an FC God Behind Bars partnership.
  • Raise awareness of the need for people and churches to share the hope of Jesus through prison ministries.
  • Commit to learn more about God Behind Bars and take next steps to become involved with an FC prison campus once formed.

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.
