Our community is experiencing anxiety, fear, and panic right now in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. There are countless numbers of people who are being affected by this illness every single day, from elderly people, to medical professionals, and more. As a light of the Gospel in our community, we believe that we must serve our city during this crisis, and we are doing that through Let’s Go Now. Below are some opportunities that we encourage our people to take in order to be Jesus to the people of Maryville, Blount County, and beyond.
There are hundreds of families in our communities that depend on school lunches or other food programs to feed their families every single day. With schools being cancelled, one of the best ways we can help is to support Second harvest Food Bank through volunteering to package food! You can also donate food to The Promise Outreach to support the homeless community as well. Click the link below for more info.
There are people in our community who need to experience the love of Jesus in a variety of ways. Whether volunteering at KARM, making a care call to someone who isn't able to get out, or making masks for healthcare workers, we want to let our community know how much we love them. Sign up for either opportunity below!
One of the major things that we can do at the church is serve the vulnerable in our community, and right now the vulnerable are elderly people at risk of contracting this virus. Click the button below to either sign up to receive help, or sign up to offer help!
