FC Food For Kids

What We Do

Food For Kids is a partnership between Second Harvest Food Bank of East TN, Alcoa City Schools and Foothills Church. It is a program that identifies students who are at risk of food vulnerability on the weekends. Second Harvest delivers specific foods to FC monthly, then FC volunteers pack the food in small bags which are delivered to the school. On Friday, the bags are placed in students’ backpacks to take home so they have food for the weekend.

  • Donate to Second Harvest Food Bank so the cycle of food distribution can continue in our area to food vulnerable people.
