We partner with Alcoa City Schools to provide food for low-income children
"I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."
Food For Kids is a partnership between Alcoa City Schools, Second Harvest, and Foothills Church. It is a program that identifies students who are at risk of not having sufficient food on the weekends. Second Harvest delivers specific items to FC monthly. FC volunteers take the items and pack them in small bags. Those bags are delivered to the school. On Friday, the bags are placed in the students backpack to take home for the weekend.
