Purpose:

Love the City exists to engage the needs of our city as we seek to cultivate and create a redemptive environment by sharing God's love, for God's glory, and the good of our city.

Since nobody will ever remember all that, we just say "Love the City."

Volunteer to Serve at the Pregnancy Resource Center

We have several women who serve at the Pregnancy Resource Center from Foothills Church. There are several ways to get involved. You can serve as a counselor, help with donations at their facility, help with cleaing and maintenance, and much more.

Becoming a Kids Hope Mentor

If you are passionate about kids and have one hour a week to tutor a child at Alcoa Elementary School then Kids Hope is for you. Join our growing team of Kids Hope Mentors today.

Volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bank

Every first Saturday of the month, a group from Foothills Church serves at the Second Harvest warehouse and helps with donations, cleaning, and more. This is a great ministry for families with young children.

Join our Food 4 Kids Ministry Team

Every 4-6 weeks, our Food 4 Kids Team packs backpacks for underprivileged children in our local school systems. In partnership with Second Harvest, every month we give out close to 300 bags of food to children who wouldn't have food if it wasn't for this program. This is a great ministry for families with young children.

Serve at the Martin Luther King Center of Alcoa

Every Tuesday from 3:30-5:30, a group from Foothills Church serves at the MLK Center in Alcoa. This group is largely made up of high school students and middle school students who have a passion for sharing the love of Jesus with children. Join this team today!

Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries mission is to seek to rescue the poor and needy of the Knox Area by providing recovery services in Jesus' name.

Martin Luther King Center in Alcoa.

The MLK Center serves the community of Alcoa in a variety of ways. Our specific partnership seeks to serve children through tutoring and other events for the center throughout the year.

Pregnancy Resource Center of Blount County.

Since 1986, the Pregnancy Resource Center has helped women cope with unplanned pregnancies and consider their alternatives in a compassionate, supportive environment with the help of trained peer counselors.

Kids Hope

KIDS HOPE USA develops these one-on-one relationships through the creation of church-school partnerships that pair church members with at-risk kids in supportive, mentoring relationships.

2nd Harvest Food Bank

Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee is dedicated to eliminating hunger in our 18 county service area by providing food, services and education to address the nutritional needs of all people at risk of hunger.
